RAS ???

I'm sorry, but I'm sure this has been talked about plenty, but I cannot seem to find it using the search. Anyway, I am looking into the RAS for my 02 X and would like to know how hard it is to install and where is the best place to get a decent deal. Thanks in advance and sorry if this is repetitive.

I bought the Firestone brand bags for my 05 Ex. Find the lowest price on line.

I installed them with a friend in about 2 hours. It was pretty simple. I did not want to remove the tires which worked fine. The biggest challenge was getting the back end high enough to open the necessary space between the axel and the fram. A 3 ton jack with a couple large blocks of wood make this possible.

carmk, RAS is Roadmaster Active Suspension. Helper springs, if you will. They aren't a brand of airbags.

fordboy, this isn't a "How-To", but it's possible Joe's post will help a bit with all his pictures.

I installed mine in the driveway in about 2 hours. I think I could now put them on in 30 minutes or so. Half the time is spent jacking up the X and stabilizing it.

Did mine in about 1 hour 15 minutes. Very easy job AND well worth it.
