traded my 95 F350 CC DRW with 265,XXX for a 95 F250 ext. 4X4 on thursday has a few problems, the shift lever was real sloppy, sometimes it wouldnt start in park and had to wiggle it back and forth and sometimes it would be in 2nd instead of drive and you had to wiggle it around so after searching around this site i found that it could either be just the two loose screws on the bracket or the bushings gone bad, looked under the steering coulom and the screws had backed out about 1/2" tightened em up and works perfect now, awsome. other thing was the #4 fuse for the insturment cluster lights and taillights keep blowing turns out the tag lights were shorting out cause it wouldnt blow if the connecter going to the tag light was unplugged, got a new set and they work perfect now. only thing let to do is injector orings well i think thats the problem since it will smoke blueish white outta the tailpipe untill it warms up and will run clean, determined that from the seach feature, man i love this site
pretty happy with the even trade
Could also be the range position sensor on the driver side of the trans. And check your Vehicle Speed Sensor on top of the rear diff and make sure it's clean the the plug is clean and tight.
The sloppy shift lever should be remedied by tightening the screws in the column.
