1992 F-150 SuperCab 4x4 I6. 94,000miles. Replaced starter and alternator 2 years ago. Just had new oil pan gasket put in 2weeks ago. Nothing else done to the "Beast". Body is starting to rust, but that comes from the snow and salt fromWisconsin winters.
Around 230,000 on my dad's '78. About 176,000 on my '78, which still has the original clutch. Neither use any oil at all. Both are behind 4 speeds and a Dana 61 with 3.31.
Mine's got about 79K. Didn't have it when it was new, but if it ran better when it was, this musta been one hell of a truck, cuz its awesome right now.
My dad's old 300, long time ago, went to about 250k, then he sold it and it was still running fine. He beat the living hell out of that thing though, things no body should do to a truck. I shudder just thinking about it.
i guess mines a "virgin" cuz it has 80,180 miles. water pump replaced only thing i know done to it. runs like new, burns no oil and can stull tug a cheby outta a stuck with ease
my dads 95 has around 100,000 and has the rear main replaced and...thas about it and burns no oil and runs like an animal.
Ford 300 4x4,4sp. man 373,000 miles, carb. changed at 20000 new radiator at 300000 original alternator and most parts this truck has more power now than when new. FORD MAKES A TOUGH TRUCK#1- DODGE CHEVY AND THE OTHERS FOLLOW HOPE TO MAKE A MILLION MILES ON THIS TRUCK TR( Did i mention the original engine is in it ,no major work except valve cover gaskets oil pan gaskets etc )
only have 75000 on mine...just got it in nov. and an older guy had it b4 me....the truck is mint yet...hopefully i'll get as many miles on as everybody else
210,000 and uses less than 1/2 quart between changes. Just passed emission test with great numbers. Bottom end rattles a little till pressure comes up, but that's my fault, as the pump got plugged after pan gasket change, and lost pressure. Original clutch went 199,000. Nothing major done to engine, and sad to say poorly maintained and driven hard. Gets my vote as durability champ. I did have bad head gasket at 198,000 miles, and bores looked like new. Think I'll grind crank and re-ring, maintain better and drive another 200,000. Love this truck!
My odometer reads 74K but how many 100,s are added to that I don't know. My great uncle has the 300 in his and he probably had over 500,000 miles on his before he finally had to replace it. (The engine not the truck)
i have 200,000 miles on my 84 f150. it uses no noticable oil, and the engine has never been rebuilt. i had to put a new carb and starter on it in the last 3 months, but the main parts all works great. just peplaced my NP tranny with t-19 and runs so much better
