I have a 96 F350 regular cab 8ft. bed single rear wheel truck. It has the 460 motor and soon to be C6 again because I cannot figure out what went wrong with my ZF swap. My question is what company should I order a torque converter from and what stall speed should I get. My truck is around 6100lbs. and the only mods are headers, gutted cats, and dual exhaust. I have around 87K on the truck and the C6 has only around 6K miles on it. The converter that was in the C6 before I took the tranny out was a stock unit that made the truck feel gutless. At least I think it was the converter. I need the truck for hauling firewood, scrap metal, towing the occasional project truck, and towing my boat(6000LBS). The most I will probably tow with it will be my 5th wheel trailer with a total combined trailer and load weight of 12,000lbs. My HP and TQ is probably not much more than stock so with this info can anyone help me find the appropriate TQ converter?
OK then tci.com make good stuff also try wittrans.com and drivetrain.com and transtar1.com
Thanks for trying to help but I could not find the part I needed on any of those sites. Either they didn't have my year listed or it would send me on a wild goose chase.
