wrong fuel filter

I was wondering if i messed up the lower fuel filter housing by putting in a filter that was slightly different. I swapped it out once i realize what i did. Some jerk returned the box with a different one in there and they sold it to me. should have been paying more attention. Its a ford f250 psd 2004.

Standard procedure is to compare the old part you got out with the new one before you put it on..
