Just looking for some advice. Coming to work this morning I noticed the ABS light on. I don't feel anything different in the pedal and I don't see any leaks around the brakes. Checked the fluid level and she is fine. If anyone here can list the reasons the light will come on I would appreciate it. She is a 2005 F-350 SRW 6.0 FX4 with 51,000 miles. I did install a 4:30 rear end a couple of years ago. They damaged the ring inside and that gave me the light but that was replaced in 2008. She has a 6 in lift and Banks exhaust. 19.5 in rims with 285 TY303 Yokahama's. If you need any other information please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

I have this same problem. I took the wheels off today and was prepared to do my brakes but the pads were all good. It started as a once and a while thing and now it's on all the time. I wiggled the wires and plug today on the front passenger side and it went out for about 15 kms and now it's back on. I am curious about this one.
i agree whit cartmanea there is lots of possiblility
could be wheel sensors in front wheel, sensor in the rear diff,
could be broken wire, abs module,fuse...
the best thing to do is get the exact code
if you start replace things just to try if its the problem you
are going to spend your time and money
its not going to affect you driving or your braking execpt that
if you it ice or oil on the road and you brake the wheels or going to lock
you are not going to have that skipping pedal sensation
good luck and give us some feedback on the cause of your problem
I had the ABS light on a 1998 7.2 and after a day or two the brakes just went out for a short time then would work very scary, it was the sensor in the rear diff. May not be the same for a 6.0 but just wanted you to know to get it fixed as it could be a safety issue.

the sensor in the rear diff is just a little plug in and 1 small screw
and you pull on the sensor and it's out
