so heres the deal: just got my 4" lift and im gonna put 33s on my 95 f150. i have been looking at tires and i just cant make up my mind. i want an all-terrrain tire because its my daily driver, but i do a good bit of off-roading in my spare time. i have been looking at general grabber at2s and goodyear wrangler duratracs. i have seen mixed reviews about both. i am kinda leaning towards the duratracs because they are a little more aggresive.
has anyone had experience with/knows someone who has had experience with these tires?
any suggestions on other tires?
btw i am on a fairly tight budget and i would like to stay under $800 for a set
I have the AT2's and I have no complaints. They ride great, they are quiet for an At tire good in mud, on rock just an all around great tire I am running 285\75 \16 on a 99 F-250 and were 200 bucks cheaper than the BFG’s. the ran me 720 in New iberia louisiana
i see you are in the A.F i did 6 got out 2 years ago. my brother has the BFG,s on truck and there almost the same tire, and for a daily driver you cant beat the AT2 or the bfg they both have 50-60k mile Warrantee i did alot of looking and for the price you cant beat the AT2
I'm gonna get hit for this, but Liberators from Walmart are pretty decent. I have a set of 285/75R16 on the back of my truck, and they have worn pretty nicely over the last few years and about 15k, even several hundred miles on the highway loaded to the max. I actually liked them so much I even put a set on my Galaxie- That was the only tire I could get that had a high enough load rating in the size that car took.
thanks for the input guys, but i ordered my tires last night. after reading hundreds of reviews, i settled on the goodyear wrangler duratrac size 33x12.50r15. i will let everybody know what i think of them when i get them.
well...my truck doesnt go fast so i dont need slicks. and the duratracs are classified as an all-terrain tire, which if you read my post, is exactly what i need. i was debating the general grabbers, but reviews said they didnt perform in sand or deep mud very well. and the places we ride around here are nothing but sand and deep mud
