Tire dilema, need some help

so heres the deal: just got my 4" lift and im gonna put 33s on my 95 f150. i have been looking at tires and i just cant make up my mind. i want an all-terrrain tire because its my daily driver, but i do a good bit of off-roading in my spare time. i have been looking at general grabber at2s and goodyear wrangler duratracs. i have seen mixed reviews about both. i am kinda leaning towards the duratracs because they are a little more aggresive.

has anyone had experience with/knows someone who has had experience with these tires?

any suggestions on other tires?

btw i am on a fairly tight budget and i would like to stay under $800 for a set

You know.. I think Kris is rubbing off on me or something..
(What the hell is wrong with this world!?!?)

The more I read, the more I agree with what your saying. Maybe people are just getting stupider.

Oh and hey man, the BFG A/T is a great tire.

People arent getting "stupider." They are getting more lazy and cheap by the nano-second. Deep down they know how to fix something but its quicker easier and cheaper to ignore the problem.

Anyway...
Maybe the OP should look in to Cooper STTs. I know several guys with them who DD their trucks that have nothing but good things to say. These days MTs are getting 35-40k+ and are basically the same price as ATs. 33s for under $200 a tire is becoming a fairly limited selection.

I like the interco trxus mt's on my truck. I don't drive my truck every day,so i can't really say how they wear for daily driving but they are good in the mud, snow and decent on wet pavement. I have had the truck in places in 2wd that I wouldn't take it in 4wd with the bfg a/t's on it. You can shop around, but here is where I got mine, less than $200 apiece for 33's Super Swamper Radial Trxus Mud Terrain

My suggestion is simple. Get a set of mt's and get 35's. 33's fit stock on these trucks so with 4" lift your going to have plenty of room. Can post a picture of my old f150 with 33's stock if you need.

i dont like the stuffed look. plus everyone ive talked to with 33s on stock wheels on these trucks said they rub when you pin the wheel and sometime when the suspension is pushed all the way up.

what i was saying about the groundhawgs is that my truck is a 2wd daily driver, and i live on an airbase in germany. i offroad every once in a while and its nothing extreme...so i dont NEED anything that aggressive.

Well a good solution to that is getting the properly backspaced wheels.
