I have a 98n4x2 Ranger with 60k miles on it and im bored to death with it. Now what could i do to improve this besides drop a bunch of preformance parts into it.
About the only performance part for the engine is a turbocharger. The Lima 4 is known for its durability and good gas mileage, but its not an engine that lends itself to any other "performance enhancements."
Check your rear axle gear ratio. If its not 4.10, you could replace the axle with one that does have that ratio. That would run the engine at higher RPM's, but it seems to rev well.
Good luck, and Welcome to FTE. This is a good source for information.
