power steering problem
I have a 94 F350 2 wheel drive. When I turn to the left the effort to turn the steering wheel is normal . When I turn to the right the wheel is very difficult to turn as if there is no power steering. I assume the problem is in the steering box. Can the steering box be rebuilt or will I need to replace it.

Sounds to me like there's air in the system. Double check that the power steering hoses between the pump and gear box are tight. Also make sure no seals are leaking as this could be causing the air in the system and check to make sure the fluid is full, then bleed the system by jacking the front end off the ground and turning the wheel back and forth stop to stop about 20-30 times. This should bleed it out and fix the problem.
If it happens again, there's something leaking that's causing air to get into the system and you will need to look into it farther.
