Air Bag Code LFC 23 HELP!!!

Hey guys I have an 07 Mustang GT that I have removed the stock seats with side air bags and replaced them with aftermarket racing seats. I know this is the wrong forum but nobody in the mustang forums could help. After the install I was able to get all the sensors reconnected except for the air bags them selves. The car now flashes a LFC 23 which I believe is this code "Restraint System side air bag status passenger seat side air bag circuit failure". I was told that I could get resistor plugs from ford that plug into the harness where the air bags normally would. I got the resistors and they didnt work. Next I tried checking the ohms on the air bags in the seats and the resistors I got from ford. There is a difference the seat measured .4ohms and the resistors measured 7ohms. Next I went to radio shack and got .4ohm resistors and plugged them into the air bag harness, no change. Finally I made a jumper wire and jumped the 2 wires, again no fix. I don't have any information to offer that will help you solve your problem, but I would advise against jumping wires on the airbag system. When I was in the fire academy, we were shown some videos of firefighters getting hurt pretty badly when accidentally cutting into the airbag wiring and shorting out the wires during vehicle extrications. Those airbags can come out and do some serious damage if you are in their way. Best of luck to you.

It sounds to me like most likely you are going to need some custom programming on the passive restraint system to get the codes to go away. You can try your dealer, but I doubt they'll be willing to help. You might also give the guys at Ford Racing Performance Parts a call. They might be of some assistance to you.
