as far as this donating money and stuff, nobody did anything wrong.star was trying to be a decent human being in which there are not too many left in this world.and he (we) fell victim to something.it was weird alot of things didnt add up.travel times, myspace page, even a fairly low post count, and a couple other things.........
if anyone sees another similar post report it right away you can use the report option on the post or contact me or any other mod with the link
personally i hold nothing against anyone but him for his dishonesty with the different stories. I was raised to be honest all around, sometimes it has hurt me, but it's the way i, and it seems quite a few on here, are. Would i do it again, Yes, but with a little more looking into the story first...
Star, you have nothing to be sorry for, IMHO you get points for trying to do a really good thing and we'll just take those points out of his hide. I still think this is the best bunch of people I've run into in a long time. One bad apple is not going to ruin this barrel.
yeah, dont sweat it brother-- all us decent human beings get suckered once in a while. taint yer fault. thank goodness before trying to donate i waited a few days to see what happened myself-i tend to be very skeptical ( 19 years as a bouncer will do that to you...) just in case somebody was trying to pull a fast one....and i firmly believe that what goes around comes around, even if only in the end. he will get his at some point, someday. im absolutely sure that anyone who did donate isnt looking at you as the badguy, you were just trying to help. and just in case you ever run across this jerk in the future, i got 3 words for you--shins, knees, nuts. in that order.
Did I miss something? I got his Email asking if I wanted my money back I said yes all $5,000, kidding, but I said keep it just a few bucks and if it puts food in his kids mouth for a day than it did its job.
Was any proof laid out that he was scamming? Did his dad die? Does he even have a Ford? If I paid to help lower a Honda I am gonna be really P.O.'d
I got a PM from him too. Asking if he could deposit the check. I had stopped payment on it, and thanks to Buck, I mentioned what it was about, and they said they will waive the fees.
I knew that was fake. I had a reply typed up calling him out, but thought everyone would be rampant pissed and I would be banned from FTE so I stayed quiet.
He didn't slip on the pickup it was in his garage with the price he paid and when he bought it. lol And then there was a link to his myspace where he uses a different name comepletely. And then there were some stupid slip ups too. whether his dad died is anybodys guess, or what his real name is.
