I dug thru my wiring harness and dash parts and cant find the GEM... Where is it located and can you post a picture of what it looks like? All I coud find was a bank of relays that mounted to the firewall, which I though was the GEM, but dont think it is. My 2002 7.3L has the GEM in that location IIRC, but this one just has a relay box there. Let me know, thanks...

On my vehicle the gem mounts directly to the back of the interior fuse box which is just below and slightly to the left of the steering wheel. the gem is nearly the identical size of the fuse box and approximately an inch or so thick. There should be a large sticker on it with the part numbers. My guess is that it was never separated from the fuse box which is fine with me as I probably will also need the fuse box to make it work.
