So today when i went to the muffler shop to get the 4 inch piece for my CCV mod and well i just had them straight pipe the 7.3 and wow does it sound GOOD.
I agree, back before I had mine cut out and put a truck glasspack in place, it did sound good. I originally wanted a straight pipe but the guy at the garage told me I might have a problem at inspection time, Pa. inspections. I now have MBRP Duals on it with their flow thru muffer and the sound is rude, love it. Put a GTP38R ball bearing turbo in your truck and you'll really hear it, sounds sweet.
Sounds good. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for them to straight pipe it? I am looking at doing something to my stock exhaust (maybe mbrp, maybe straight pipe)
I had mine straight piped a while back here in St Pete Fl. I think he charged me $60-$70....I liked it so much I bought a 4" system for it.
I should have just put the $$ towards the 4"...
But if you dont have the cash for a complete system than a muffler delete is the way to go.
Gut the cat also, if you have one.
