i have some nice checker aluminum running boards, they run from the back of the front wheel wells to the front of the rear wells. probably expensive, came with my truck
I have a set of aluminum hoop steps made by Steel Horse (how ironic) that I installed for the exact same reason. Think I paid $5 for them at Princess Auto.
The best I think, Westen SS Nerf bars. Will last forever.
Picked these up for 20 bucks and made brackets for em. I donno who makes em, but I think they were chromed steel, which would eventually rott out. Also had no place to step, all round and chrome.
I have Carr. They are top notch quality and have excellent customer service. I don't like the tube steps so it was the obvious choice for me. I can't find any good pictures of mine when they are clean or up close. Maybe I'll feel like going to take a good one later. They are really grippy too btw.

I got less grief from the wife after I installed them too
I don't like any of the steps besides the factory Eddie Bauer and Flareside ones.
The hoop steps are ok I guess, but look a little like a grandpa.
I used to like how the the Westin nerf bar steps looked, but don't so much anymore. I won't ever buy them again. Also, I had a black pair on my truck for a while and the fit was horrible and they always came loose and parts stripped out. I didn't overtighten anything. I had to use some different bolts, because the ones that came with it for the outer rear brackets didn't work at all.

Yeah. I would only go with the hoops because they are pretty simple. I really wish I could find a set of the oem fiberglass ones but they hoops will do fine I'm sure. I get them in black so they will blend in a bit.
If you get the hoop steps, get them in the natural aluminum finish. Do not get black ones. They paint will chip off and they will look terrible.
No it won't; the black and titanium are both powder coated. Don't talk out of your rear.
Forgot to mention, Carr also has a lifetime warranty on everything from finish to build quality so if anything ever happens to it at all, they'll fix or replace it. They sent me new mounting tabs after about 8 years unexpectedly because they said that the new ones were stronger. I didn't have to pay for anything or ask, they just sent me new stuff. This was years after purchase. Their customer service and quality is excellent.
I didn't want to put steps on mine but my wife was complaining and she was pregnant. My poor boys also had bruises all over their legs from crawling into the truck. Now that they're on, I don't hate them.

There are several brands that make the hoop steps. Some of them may be made better than others. I have seen a few that looked like that. I was just making a suggestion. It is more durable than paint, but powder coat can chip too. My old Westin nerf bars and my Ranch Hand bumpers that I used to have were powder coated and they all had chips and sections that started to flake off. Even my RKI tool box is black powder coated and it has some small areas that need touch up paint.
I'm really getting tired of you putting down what I have to say. This is getting old.
I think the silver/aluminum color steps look better than the black anyway.
On your truck I would get the larger ones like in the pictures of the blue truck. The smaller ones I think will look dinky on your F250.
Full running boards, From the back of the front wheels to the front of the rear wheels... They where on the pickup when I bought it, and I thought I might like it better without them, but after having them on there, I love them.. For one, the body stays alot cleaner than it would without them.. I got into some mud the other day, and the sides of the rig between the front and rear axle where still clean, but the mirrors, front fenders, rear of the rear fenders and the roof where covered...
