Thermostat info ,

hi all,

what would be the normal running coolant temp for our 6.0's running unloaded.
what is the operating temp for our thermostats.
My scanguage II never reads above 175 deg. ?? ECT

I dont know about the thermostat temp. My edge insight shows my coolant temp to run between 180-187.

I remember reading somewhere that the thermostat starts opening around 195 deg F and is fully open around 215 deg F.
