300 convert
i have a 1977 f250 2wd,351m c6..i want to install a 300 i've got lyin' round. the 300 has an old 4spd manual trans, i would like info regaurding putting a c6 on the 300,i have one from a small block lyin' around, but i do not have a flex plate ,is the sb torque converter gonna work with 300 ? etc..thanks...mike-

The 300 uses the SBF bellhousing pattern. Sounds like you have most everything to do the swap, short of the flexplate. The 300 uses a different flexplate than the SBF, due to balance, but it's fairly cheap to buy new.
The tq converter should work fine, so long as the bolts are spaced right to fit the flexplate.
