tree sap

ive tried the tree sap remover (a few different brands) with no luck
i was thinking of using a clay bar but was not sure if it would work

any suggestions would be helpful, its enamel with clearcoat--3 years old

I have always used Bug and Tar remover. Sometimes you have to work at it. But there have been a few times I had to break out laquer thinner. You should be okay, but I would test it on a spot not easily seen first.

I've had good luck using turpentine since it is a tree-based solvent.
