Just curious what work folks have slated for their Ford Trucks and such.
First for me will be to soldier in the correct plug connection for my TFI ignition coil, soldier in a new right front signal socket.
Then onto the new nerf step bars, they don't make brackets for the 78/79 Bronco so I'll have to do some fabbing to attach them.
The passenger side door needs repaint due to it coming out a touch lighter than the rest of the truck, Rims and front grill are going to get colour matched to the truck as well and I think I'm going to hold off on the Transfer case update to the 205 and just do the mile marker part time conversion for now.
And of course the convertible top installation for the summer.
I'm not enjoying spring, I never do. This is the time of year when the mud and poo gotta goooo.
Getting that old pumpkin on the road finally. She's been sitting around for awhile, just driving around on the farm for the last five years.
Also gotta think about what to do with the '58
When I pulled the Merc out of winter storage, it fired right up!!! I was so excited, I had to go for a short drive. I'm building another truck right now (sorry not a Ford) so time and money are going towards it for now. Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather.
Will try and get the F250 out this weekend, its at a friends placed blocked in by a boat and a chrysler product.
Still may send it for paint if I can find some place that doesn't want a vital internal organ as a down payment. If not we drive it because it was built to be driven!
My 300 block is at a local machine shop, crank is fine block will need boring, pistons, new cam........ I told the guy i was in no hurry but I'm getting anxious so I need to push him a bit to get at it. Come to think of it it I wanted to bring the tranny in for a check up too.
The '76 is falling apart but still pulling along , needs exhaust , valve seals and some major attention to the body. I'm thinkin flat black to hide all the issues....
the '48 has been neglected all winter, I started it once. I may unload it and concentrate on the F250 and time allowing the '47. ...but in reality I'm finding very little time to do the things I want and strugglling to do the things I need.... Still have an unchecked lottery ticket in my wallet......
I put my aluminum rims and fat tires back on, since one of the other tires was unable to hold air any more... Need to get some better towing tires, but I may end up selling the car trailer later this summer and getting something smaller...
I have a steering problem to sort out and I've ordered up all new u-joints and cvheads for the front and rear drive shafts as well as new u-joints for the front drive axles.
Mostly I just want the time to do up my new Beachcomber fibreglass travel trailer
I also have the camper to sort out, a side fuel tank on the F250 to remove and get resealed. Also have to make a front mount spare tire holder,...
And I need 15in tires for the "76 before I wear out the snows...
Also got a reasonable quote on a paint job so I have to figure out the timing on this one.
