Exclamation '79 Ranger trailer harness?

I recently picked up a nice '79 Ranger Lariat 4X4 and wanted to find out if someone could tell me where i might find a trailer harness that will plug into this truck. Or even if there is one available. I looked tonight at Meijers but didn't see anything that didn't involve cutting into my taillight wires. Really didn't want to do it that way. Hopeing there's other options out there. If you know of any and where i might find them, i'd really appreciate the help.

Thanks Alot
Mike

Mile, take a look at the drivers side rear, under the truck and see if there is a plug that will come apart that handles the tail lights. If so, that comes apart and the harness plugs into each end and the tail piece from the harness goes to the trailer. Again, if you have this, try to give me a description of the plug, I think I still have mine from my 98 Ranger, it just may fit.

Thanks for the posting Flash. I know from looking before that my truck does have that plug behind the drivers side rear fender, that's what got me thinking there had to a been someone make a harness for it. I'll get back to you again on a description of the plug. I just finished cleanin up for the day, plus it's to dark out now anyhow. Anyhow, thanks again for the posting. I'll be in touch.
