I need to know whether or not my '72 F250 Highboy 4x4 has a mated or divorced transfer case. Can't remember, and I can't just go look for myself because I'm currently serving in Iraq. I'm hoping that it's year/model specific and someone can tell me.
good luck over there. i spent a couple months on a carrier in the persian gulf. dubai is crazy. maybe your transfer case is just legally separated with the yoke on the side but still working things out with the driveshaft through counseling
Fun with X's...Hmm well we started mating then we got divorced funny how humans and truck parts are the same in this case. I know the 203 chain drive transfer case in my dodge was a divorced case. About 300 pounds too or maybe i am just getting weaker. Thought the 4x4's all had divorced cases but i could be wrong.
The F250 had only divorced transfer cases up through 77.5. The F100 had mated cases since the mid 60s.
.... i beg to differ on your f100 had mated cases since the mid 60's... we have a 65 f100 factory 4x4 with a devorced. and i know in 66 they were also devored and practicly everything from 61-65 is identicle except for the engine, badges, and grille
