component diagrams for newbie
I am having hot engine start problem, and from reading "blackcr" post, I may have to check fuel pump, relay, starter, battery cable, selenoid, IAT and ACT.
My first problem is locating the parts, although in this case I have located them from reading through the posts.
On 10-22-2009, a poster "subford" posted an engine compartment's component location view (another kind of truck), which showed the parts in clear illustration. This is kind of reference I miss when thinking about the truck. Haynes manual does not help in this regard. Can I get such diagrams from Alldata or is there a manual written just for 1996 f150? Thank you in advance for the ideas.
4.9L, 6 cyl, fuel injection, 5 speed manual
p.s. I just found 1996 f-series service manual cd from diy repair manuals.com. The cd or the manual looks like they may have been published by the factory. Would the cd tell me how to replace fuel pump, locate and replace pump relay, diagnose or replace the starter? Thank you.

Does the starter turn when this hot start problem occur??
Do you smell gas when trying to hot start the truck?? Does WOT/wide Open Throttle start the truck when hot?
