injector question
hey guys. i have a 96 f250 ps with 148,000 miles on it. i bought it
about 7months ago for 2300.00 . i knew it needed some work, but
i didnt notice oil cooler leaking. fuel pump and hoses bad, etc
but, my question is how long do the injectors last. when do the
orings have to be replaced. how can i check injectors for problems.
i dont see any white smoke or very little when it starts, even
when its 30 degrees outside. i have a 95 350 ps with 276,000
and runs like new.

ok i will check my fuel from time to time. thanx for the input . but i do have a surge
up and down like a miss. but im pulling out my ipr and installing a new one.
when i drive the truck, plenty of power with no stalling. when i rev the engine at
idle to 2500 rpm it drops down to 400 rpm and then back to 650 rpm. im no diesel
mechanic. just learning as i go. lol
