My excursion did the same thing. I got luckey and my excursion was at the dealer when the tunes got downloaded. What ended up happening was the tunes they sent where the wrong ones for my excursion. The dealer had to hook there laptop up and completly re-program the computer in my excursion.

Installing a stock tune on to your programmer wont fix the problem. The dealer had to use there lap top. The plugged there laptop into my port, and used Ford software to re-program the computer in my excursion, not the sct computer. My truck was totally cleared out, and did the exact same thing as yours. It wouldn't start, and the programmer read error. I dont think your going to fix the problem, unless you know someone that has access to the ford software, like a dealer until monday.

My dealer ended up having to get me a sct x3 programmer from innovative diesel. The company they usually get there sct's from, tried to say the first programmer was faulty, so they sent them another one. It did the same thing. After resetting my computer in the excursion several times, they called innovative diesel, they shipped the sct x3 with there tunes, and it worked like a dream. I got lucky because when I got my excursion part of the deal from the dealer was they would get me a programmer, so when it cleaned the computer out, they had to take the responsibility for it.

The key that has a chip built into it. The dealer came to a conclusion, that was the problem with the first 2 programmers that they where sent. The software the company was using wasnt for the pats key, it was for the regular keyed vehicles.
