if you look at part 6 they are plastic bushings and they are shot.
got mine from a dealer.
also look at the holes for the linkage rods , if they are wallered out weld them up and redrill them
the rods were worn on mine too so i welded them and ground them back to shape . i also put bronze bushings in where the old plastic ones were.
Hey fox, I havnt got mine out since the weather was crap, but maybe you can help me.
See the bracket on the motor side #1 (it's greyed out) Is it a bracket that goes inside of there or what because I didnt see it on mine. I guess i'm having a hard time seeing how this part is held together on the inside.
do you see bolt #12? they go to the bracket that bolts to the motor.
bolts #9 go to the bracket to the frame.
the plastic bushings go on the ends of the brackets then slide into the tube of part one.
then adjust the brackets so that part one doesnt slide side to side.
all it should do is pivet so that the linkage from the clutch pedal pulls evenly.
it must be in the pile you made when tearing it down.
i think i know where one is in the junkyard if you cant find one.
they are the same on my 78 150 3 on the tree(converted to t5) and my 79 f250 grannygear 4 speed. so as long as it a 300 six from 79 down they should fit . im in indianapolis where are you at
i am not sure it is hard to tell from that pic.
and i dont have that style of mount on my 300 six.
on mine it is just a post on the illistration it is part #11
does it look like it will bolt up in place?
the plastic ball on the end should be pointing at the other one and should be inside of the tube
It's got threads like #11 but it's like a small ball. It *look's* like that's what it's for, so all I can do is give it a shot tomorrow. I'm going to be under there anyways with the fuel pump.
