I have a 1990 F250 Extended cab 7.3 Idi Diesel 4x4 with a sterling 10.25 rear axle
What size lug nuts do i need? What size, what tread pitch, lenght etc.
They are for the stock aluminium wheels.
I have used the stock nuts for the steel wheels last year, but since the seating of the "nut holes" in the rim on the aluminium wheels are countersunk the nut for the steel wheels don't fit that well in the aluminium wheels.
Its a standard 9/16" X 18 lug nut. Since you are using aluminum wheels that require a 60 degree tappered seat, the only thing you have to be carefull with is the overall length. The stock studs on the Sterling axles are quite long and will require a lug nut that is not ultra short.
Thanks I figured i need atleast 2.5" length to cover that stud. or a nut that has a open end, but i think it will look better when the nut covers the stud
