Torque Cconverter Lockup Speed Question
My 2005 Explorer TC locks at speeds much lower than both my 1994s. The '94s locks between 53-55mph. The '05 will lock as low as 42mph. I drive all of them with a VERY light foot...trying to squeeze out as much mpg as possible with city driving. Is this normal for the '05 TC to lock at such a low speed?\

I've seen some that will lockup as low as a constant 35 mph, something like 5 seconds or longer at no less than 35 mph will allow the TC to lockup. I want to say that was on my 1998 SHO.
