460 question

460 question
Im just kinda wondering how much money it would take to get these 460's to put out some decent power? i know from factory there not much to talk about. Are we talking a mild rebuild or do u have to bore it to really get some decent power?

You have to put some decent heads on it if you want it to make any real power. Also, you don't really "bore out" an engine to make it larger. You bore it to repair the cylinder walls. You want to bore it as little and as few times as possible. Also, on a production engine, the difference between stock bore and maximum bore is only a few cubic inches. Not enough to ever make a difference.
