rims?
I have some 17 inch tires off a 07 f150, and I was wondering if I got some stock rims off an 04 or up if they would fit on my 97 model. has anyone tried this or know what models are interchangeable.thanks for any info.

unless i missed something, (not hard to do with the way ford does some things...) all of the 04+ trucks should be 6 lug so that right there is a stopper. i dont know what you have on your truck right now, but you may want to look for wheels from an 02 or so fx4. thats what i did for my 97. same bolt pattern, 17 inch wheel and in my opinion looks WAY better than the wheels that came with my truck. go click on my avatar and go to my garage and there should be pictures of both sets of wheels. the old ones are the ones that have hub caps.

farmer is right.. the bolt circle on all trucks after 1997 is 135 mm, but the trucks before 2004 had 5 bolts and the ones later had 6 bolts--- just look for that. Earlier that 1997 had 5-1/2 inch circle pattern, so they wont fit.
