RiffRaff 6637 Filter Cover ?
I ordered a 6637 Filter for my 2000 F250 XLT 4x4 7.3 and noticed that RiffRaff Diesel offers a "filter cover" for this filter
Riffraff Diesel: RDP 6637 Replacement Covers
Can anyone tell me the advantage of this besides looking cool ? I imagine it catches dirt before hitting the filter and seems washable. Does it extend filter life ? Is it worth spending $30 ?

It keeps out the larger debris and is extremely breathable and will not pose any significant restriction. I will also allow for longer intervals before a filter change is needed.
