I have a 1999 F350 Super Duty 7.3 Diesel with a service body. My question is. There are four wires which are blunt cut on the drivers side engine compartment on the firewall next to the brake master cylinder. The wires are bundled with the wireing harness coming out of the cab. The wires had a tag which said something like up fitters wiring? The tag fell off. So I would like to know what the wires are for? I would like to wire some switches in the cab for rear work lights and lights in the service body.So if these wires go in to the cab it would be a help. Also does any one know if there are any unused relays in the fuse box? I use the truck for Horseshoeing and would like to wire my fresh water pump also. Thanks for the help.
Those are "pass-trough" wires, they are blunt cut on either side of the firewall, it is for accessories. Kinda nice of Ford to already have us some wires passed through the firewall. Use them for whatever you like. The other side is under the dash, just remove the knee bolster and use a flashlight and look up you will see them.
