Auxiliary Red Lights Wiring Project?

My 2003 F250 6.0 is an ex Navy truck. It was in service for 195,000 miles and sold to the previous owner. Most equipment was stripped before but it still has a trailer brake control and 2 red colored light in the grill up front. The wiring to the can was cut and no switches remain but there is a bundle of 3 wires under the hood near the drivers side battery. The light s appear to be connected to postive and negative still. I'd like to hook the lights to a switch in the cab. I'm going to buy a small switch or a auxiliary light wiring set they sell. I'd like to use the existing wiring. How should I go about this wiring and how can I route the wires to the dash? I'm thinking of putting a switch on the fuse panel so to not cut up anything. I do know that using these red lights on the road is illegal and I only plan to turn them on off road or when driving on my property. I just think it would be cool if they worked and it would give me a small project. Thanks for any help you can provide

I've looked at the lights more-
-Each light has one negative wire leading to the battery closest to it so both light s are connected to there own battery
- Each light has its own positive wire that comes from the light and ends on the drivers side fender

What do I need to do to get them on a switch inside the cab?

Run a wire from a switch you install inside to both loose wires. Connect the switch to +12 supply with a fuse!

Be aware, most states have restrictions about red lights on the front, unless you are an emergency vehicle...

yeah, Chances are the positive wires went to a flasher (called a Wig-Wag) that made them alternate back and forth.

Not sure what you re planning to use these for, but Even if they are not connected, if a police officer sees the red lights on the front of the truck, there is a good possibility you are going to be hassled and questioned.

Turn them on (especially if they flash) and cross paths with a "not so nice" officer, and you could find your self on the wrong side of some iron bars.
