My battery's are messed up, well not really, but the battery light seems to think so. My brother thinks the alternator might be going bad. It flickered today and I have an "owooga" horn that's hooked up to the left one (from inside the cab) and a siren hooked up to the right one. The siren works, the owooga, not so much. I'm gonna try tightening the terminals a bit tomorrow. Thoughts?
P.S. Don't think it matters but I'm also replacing a temp sensor tomorrow that went bad during some puddle hoppin', and unplugged it so the light didn't **** me off. Maybe it's messin' with stuff? Doubt it, but who knows...And I checked the wiring and switch for the horn it's a bit old, but it's been workin' for a while...
If all connections are clean &grounds also . Check the connector on the alt. If all checks out ,its usually the alternator . pull it & have it tested ..
