Wanted to know how you like it and more important if you have found some unique applications. For me I'm really pleased with it although it is a bit challenging to program with two buttons. Once you get use to it it's a done deal though.
Where did you mount the unit? Mine was sitting in the cup holder for a week then purchased a single pillar pod for it. Works perfect for me with my long arms, good visibility and easy to change screens while driving.
Anyone purchased the optional water temperature sensor for one of the analog inputs? I'm thinking about it.
Have you programmed the "Annunicator" Option yet? If so what did you use? I got tired on boot up telling me it was not programmed so I programmed it to watch battery voltage. By programming the warning led's to come on below 12.3 volts I now have a real GPR on time indicator.
Did everyone remember to load the "PowerStroke Diesel" Logo option?
Jim,
Very good idea this thread. I havent received my gauge yet in my door, but I have some questions:
Have anybody made the buzz test and de CCT?
Do you have a pic of the single pillar pod.
Have anybody used to get some tranny codes?

Here is a photo of the single pillar pod. I've not painted it yet.
Here is a photo of it in operation, transmission temp and engine oil temp. Sorry about the poor quality but green just does not show up well on the camera.

Thank you Jim, looks very nice, where and how much did you get and paid for the pod?.
BTW i like the contrast of black and grey, like the dash.
mines just tucked in the corner by the A pillar with the cord just laid across the dash for now. got the powerstroke logo loaded. ran the buzz and cct tests. pulled codes, cleared codes and setup some cycle parameters. still trying to figure out which values are 'good' ones. I ws thinkin bout setting an annunciator for rpm so i have a shift point light. I still need an A pillar pod and a couple more gages
I don't think you need to paint it Jim, looks good. Mine is the tan (saddle) color and I have a black dash cover alone with a black pod like yours. I also like the contrast. I bought my single pod at auto zone.

I got it locally at Baxter Auto Parts for $25. They had to order it out of Portland but had it the next day. and no shipping charge.

Might leave it black. Noticed yesterday it was actually cooler to the touch than the gray dash. Had to turn the scan rate down. It was updating so fast some readings were just a blur. Went from a 2 to a 4 and that helped a lot.

I'm taking the lazy way out here saying this but it would be nice to have someone list all the values that are good, like jacksfirstdiesel said. I'm pretty sure I know what ones are supported but seems like every time I go thru the list I still end up with values that aren't supported. In the scan mode I'll write down the ones that aren't supported and then go thru the setup again and there will still be more that aren't supported when I go back to scan. The buttons are giving me fits to, maybe that's what is happening to me?
Thanks Jim, there is a few in there I didn't know that works. You use just platform 2, what about platform 1? (I probably showed my intelligence or lack of reading on that question, lol)
Yea, If you would have read the manual I posted the link too in the other thread.
It says load Platform 2, and the book lists all the scan options that are available for our trucks, even though some of them are SD stuff.

Your welcome Glenn. Platform 1 is for gas vehicles. I couldn't imagine scrolling through all those options. Just goes to show you how simple our trucks really are from a sensor standpoint. But, if you have a gas vehicle you can use platform 1 to access data.
One way to tell if the parameter is supported is to try it. The display data won't change, it picks up data from a previous parameter. Then if you turn the truck off then back on the display will be blank in that area, upper or lower depending where it was.
