Lil Help

OK so I have an 03 Ex with a 6.0 I have been having a few problems in the front end so I decided to take it on today. I knew I had to replace the Upper and Lower ball joints on both sides. That was fairly simple. I did notice that one front wheel bearing assembly is leaking grease. I do not think this is common. What is your opinion and should I replace both while I am at it. Also if I am right you can only purchase that part as a complete assembly?? Is there an upgrade I should do on that part since the truck is lifted and carrying much larger tires and wheels?

You need to list if your Ex is a 2-wheel drive version or 4-wheel drive.

Also, please explain what you mean by the front wheel bearing assembly is leaking grease.

Thanks. Ok it is a 4wd and when i removed the hub there was grease standing inside the center. It spins well but not a free spin by any means. I might detect a slight catch?

Yep, the hubs on the 4x4's are a complete unit, most even with the abs sensor. For the best results you will want to go oem, but the price will catch ya. You can get the cheaper off shore units on ebay, but some don't like that route. About the only upgrade you can go is the dyntrac free spin, again pricey, but from what I hear worth it. There have been a few on here that have gone that route.
