Replacement Brake Pads???

Okay, I'm gearing up to replace the pads (both front & back) from the stock dusters. Please let me know if you have suggestions, otherwise I have listed the three I'm looking at below and in the poll. I had the EBC on my '02 F150 and they worked good, but not sure if that is the route I'll take this time around. Thanks!

Of course my ride is in my sig.

Hawk: Hawk Performance: Truck and SUV Ceramic Brake Pads

EBC: Greenstuff Brake Pads 7000 Series

AKEBONO......

Amazing ceramic pads......virtually no dust.....american made and AMAZING customer service.

They once overnighted me at a cost of 147 bucks a set of pads to cover an out of warranty concern (not safety related) just so I could get them put on before leaving for vacation.

I put Autozone Duralast Gold on my 05. Lifetime warranty even against wear out. Semi Met. but dosent bother me much. Truck gets washed once a week or so and I understand that if you drive......it gets dirty.

i just put motorcraft superduty pads on my 2000 navigator. there is a big improovment in stopping, and i have no where neer the brake dust i had before. we started selling these at the dealership when a mailman used them on his explorer. he said that he tried everything and these lasted twice as long as anything else.

I Agree, Had mine on for 40,000 still more than half the pads left, and yes Hardly any brake DUST .

Those AKEBONO brakes sound interesting. I'll check them out.

Problem I've heard about the lifetime brakes, is they are so hard they eat through your rotors quicker. Not sure if that is an old wives tale or not, just what I've been told by many.

Hmm, may look into those superduty pads.

Now I do limited towing, but my major concern right now is the dust these stockers put out, it's horrible. So I prefer a low dust cermanic pad.

i bought my navigator used with 85k on it so the brakes had been replaced. with what i don't know. i drive 66 miles a day with chrome wheels. if i washed it within a couple of days i would have a layer of dust on the wheel. with the superduty pads i have driven a week and no haze at all. i tow some too so we'll see how they do.
