I saw a bronco with courser MT's on it go NOWHERE in the last big snow despite having a limited slip rear. My nissan pathfinder 4wd with open diffs walked right by him. (on snow tires, of course).
Never had any problems in snow or ice and my area has had an Ice Storm the last two years. Many people ran 20mph, I ran 50-55 in 4 high.
Out ran my buddies 94 Bronco with Dick Cepek F-C II in mud/ice/snow, pissed him off, lol.
wanted to bring this thread back to life....does anyone have any new info or news on the old gateway buckshots, or the co-ops? Last i heard co-ops were done forever but was told last night that the buckshots were about to go back into production by Interco.....anyone know if there is any truth to this? According to my source they are gonna make buckshots a couple times a year in a couple different sizes..
I was told last night that the buckshots were about to go back into production by Interco.
I haven't heard that but if it's true my guess is they'll be the same poor imitation Buckshots that Maxxis produced after they bought the rights to the Buckshot name from Gateway.
WHAT?!?! SPEAK UP!! I CANT HEAR YOU OVER THOSE NITTO'S!!
Lol! Man those nittos sound like a crop duster goin down the highway! I know a guy that has a set on a diesel and all you hear is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....... LOL
Maxxis suck, had em when i had my blazer..terrible in the mud and wore out quick
Hmmm, I reckon it must be the manufacturer, I always ran the Buckshot's (when they were their own company) on my '77 K5 Blazer and with the full time 4wd these P78x15's were unstoppable in the mud and snow.
One time coming home from a skiing trip to Mt. Bachellor the State Troopers had closed Hwy.20 with an active roadblock. When I finally pulled up, one look at those tires and my rig, and he said "off ya go" and let me proceed. Nice and beautiful ride, what with no other traffic.
