Im trying to find some front mud flaps for my truck, but im not finding any. I need some that have stainless trim on them to match the rears, anyone have a good starting point to start looking?
i made these last year for 30 bucks a set and i just picked up stuff to make a set for the back the other day...but they was 50 bucks a set..there a little bigger...
I am also looking for mud flaps. I want the rubber ones that are somewhat flexible. I have extended flares but they just dont do the trick. Can I just some rubber material and screw them on or does someone have an idea?
I have the Ford OEM stock ones, they been fine for 4 years or so but one thing to keep in consideration, if you don't fasten them down good, they will rub the bottom part of your fenders. I know now to put something in between their like something that can cushion if you know what I mean. Here's a pic of my rear lower quarter where the OEM mud flap rubbed the fender. I sanded and coated it with Rust Bullet then will paint to color code.
that is why i went with tread plate...they dont flap in the wind and smack the fender...gets worse with slush build up in the winter....lets not forget the 5" exhaust with a 6 " tip sticking out there right against the flap too...it gets hot enough to make the flap bend back and posably keep it kinda bent back...
