Aviator Problems.. continue

yesterday the cruise was working fine, today cruise wont turn on, then about 40 miles down the road the (ABS) light comes on. I am sure the two are related. but not sure what it is, anyone know where to start looking?

Of course we are just pulling into the airport now, so I will not get a chance to check anything till we get home.

if I was to advise anyone.. don't buy an Aviator. Buy something with not so many quite so many bells and whistles.

Dirt on the ABS sensor will cause both problems you are discribing-- so will a bad sensor or a sensor unplugged.

I'm going to make a fool of myself but what a Aviator in this context?

My previous Bullitt also had no cruise, and also the ABS light would come on, and traction control wouldn't work. Everyone I talked to said wheel speed sensor was either dirty or going bad sense sometimes it would work, and sometimes not. The computer couldn't read how fast the wheel was turning, so wouldn't allow the traction control or cruise control to work.

I would start checking fuses and start moving deeper from there.

Curtis, do a check on the sploder/aviator forum and maybe someone there can give you good info. I would also suggest the speed sensor. On my SD it is located on the rear diff. Is there individual wheel sensors?

He's on his way to Disneyland with his family, he probably won't get to it until next week.
