new carpet install
i found a real nice carpet today, looks almost brand new. problem is it came from a 2wd with auto. i want to put it in my 79 f250 4x4 with a 4 speed. there are no holes for the shifters. so any advice on how to measure every thing so i don,t screw this up would be greatly appreciated. and no my truck doesn,t have any carpet in it now to use as a template. thanks mudder trucker.

Keep in mind that the trans hump is different heights. The center hump for an auto 2wd is shorter than the hump for a manual or 4x4. My '73 4spd has carpet for a 2wd auto and the height difference makes a few wrinkles along the sides of the hump - because the carpet is too short for the hump. -but it's not bad enough for me to get correct new carpet. Just a heads-up...
