Navistar wants to compete in the Class 4/5 medium duty truck market. Announcement soon. Didn't realize that Ford absolutely dominates this class of truck with 50 % + of the US market. Wonder what the #'s are for Canada ?

Only one pix...but with the little amount of info..what do you think of Navistar's chances with this foray into this market ?

GM pulled out of the medium duty truck market in 2009,after Navistar tried to buy...but the deal went nowhere. This article says the MDT market is in turmoil. Hmmnn.

 

Ive never been a huge IH medium truck fan, but the new trucks look ok.

I think they will do ok in the market, their trucks are usually very reasonably priced, and usually not so flashy that they retain that "truck" appearance to them (which some guys still really like)

 

I like their jacked up mudder 2 ton
