newer diesel work?

i have an 04 f150 supercrew 4x4. i actually just found a 75 ford explorer supercab today. 2wd with a bad 390 he says but the body and everything is in great shape. no pics, but just from everyones experience, what would yall think its worth?

really?? wow!..and the motor may not actually be gone. i could get it and it could be something simple, he just said he thinks it is. i found no rust in the corners, jus a little at the very bottom side of the truck and right above the windows. reason i say wow is because he told me i could have it for about 200 dollars. i knew it was a good deal the moment he said that, i just wanted to see what it was worth possibly.

haha! im going to tomorrow! i had the cash with me at the time and i wanted so badly to just hand it to him...but i knew i had to at least tell my mom about it. i couldnt just show up to the house with a truck! haha. but once i told her even she sounded excited! ill see if i can get pics tomorrow and post em up!

haha. i just might! he told me it wasnt goin anywhere anyways tho. i drove past it soooooo many times and finally was bored out of my mind today driving thru town and decided to pull in and ask about it! i cant believe noone else had already taken it! its right next to the main highway in my city!!

Lots of people never ask. About a year ago I got a 79 f250 with a D60 front for a few hundred bucks that was sitting but 100 ft off a busy road in a guys field for 11 years.
Also came across a really solid 66 fastback Mustang a few years back in a guys yard next to an expensive golf course. I stopped and the guy was willing to sell at a GREAT price and just had it sitting there for 3 years...not one person ever asked. Came back two days later to get it and it was gone!!! Someone saw me looking at it and so they stopped after I left. That one still really hurts to think about. Was probably a $10-12k car in the condition it was in for $6k the guy wanted for it.
It never hurts to stop and ask. You can find some killer deals. Worse they can do is say no, be a little harsh, and tell you F off.

haha. yep i know it! now u got me scared the truck will be gone tomorrow..lol. no he told me if anyone was to stop and be interested in it he was gonna tell them it wasnt for sale and give me a call to let me know. he was real nice
