Smoke???

Keep in mind that this new ULSD really causes more smoke in our trucks than the trucks that are designed for it. I know, I ran some red stuff for a little while and my truck didn't smoke as much, ran quieter, smoother and just seemed more happy. Funny thing is that the government wants better emissions but makes the oil companies produce fuel that causes less efficient engines.
But anyhow, I don't smoke much either. I cause a nice haze of grey/black when I REALLY stomp it but I don't smoke. I prefer less smoke and more burn but without frying my valves or anything else for that matter.

ULSD does not cause higher emmisions... Period.
The Red fuel you ran was more then likely ULSD died at the plant, like 99.9% of all diesel has been for about 5 years now.

Doubt that, the diesel was farely old, used for a furnace, I think it was at most a couple years old. Either way it seemed to smoke less. It was some diesel my parents had around and didn't need anymore because they didn't heat with diesel anymore.

and you're complainin? those guys are prolly dodge boys with an edge box prolly not runnin gauges and those egt's are prolly climbin high. btw hope are those liberal hippies up in wa about smoke. i'm stationed at ft lewis (deployed) and i haven't had my truck up there but it'll be there when we get back and i don't want to get citations for pollution and what not. it aint really bad right now but when i come home for leave i'll probably leave it at beans when i go back and let them play with it before it gets shipped to wa.
No not complaining just trying to get edubacated hehehehe. wondered what the deal was with all these other rigs. I love how my truck runs, like a rapped ape. Only smokes when I hammer it in the racing tunes.
