302 head bolts?

The 302 uses a smaller neck bolt. I am not sure if there the same thread off the top of my head. I do know they make a special bolt for using a 351 head on a 289, or 302 using a larger neck and smaller shaft or thread. Most auto parts stores have or can get you head bolts, or summit racing, performance automotive warehouse, or other after market place should have them. If he's planning on replacing the whole set I like the ARP ones and there not much more then stock.
