Headlight Reminder? Did Factory Screw Up?

Ugh, kids these days need to learn some life lessons. No better way to learn to make sure your headlights are off than to leave 'em on and kill your battery so you're late for work, or stranded somewhere late at night.

I have yet to have one of these trucks that the headlamp on buzzer; even when equipped, actually worked... The one in my IDI, I took out yesterday and verified that the chime still works, but, it doesn't do anything in the truck anymore...

My 1981 F100 XLT has both the headlight and seatbelt buzzers. The seatbelt doesn't
work anymore but the headlight one still does.
