Wasn't the Bulb

My driver's side front parking light doesn't work. I changed the bulb, but to no avail. Any ideas where to start looking. Thanks, John

Remove bulb.....eyeball the socket....any rust? Use meter or test light and see if you got power to it. Report back.

If it's the running light(comes on with the headlights), it's going to have to be the socket or the wiring connections in that area. All the running lights are fed by a common brown wire, so if one side works and one side doesn't, that means a good portion of the brown wire circuit under the hood is good, and only one section has a problem.

Thanks for all the advice. I have 12+ volts on the signal light prongs of the connector, and 0 volts on the parking light side. I guess the next step is to test the brown wire before it enters the connector. Thanks again, John.

I found the problem. When they installed my snow plow they spliced another brown wire to the parking light wire to feed the plow lights. They used a crimp connector with shrink wrap over it. It corroded and separated inside the wrap. Thanks again for all your help. John
