Need to change the driver's side parking light bulb. It doesn't look like you can get to it from under the hood, so can some one give me the procedure before I start removing parts? Thanks, John.
I did try both of those options first but could not find any information specific for my year truck,'06. Looks like the clear lens that covers both the headlight and the parking light has to come off but it is not obvious to me how to do it.
Yeah I looked also & didnt find anything. Most of the time you dont remove the lense, you have to get to the back of the assembly. Can you see where the wire runs into the back of the connector/bulb holder?
Replacing park/turn and sidemarker lamp bulbs (aerodynamic)
1. Make sure that the headlamp control is in the OFF position and open the hood.
2. Remove the four screws from the top and bottom front of the headlamp assembly.
3. Press the retaining clip at the top of the headlamp assembly while pulling the assembly straight out.
If removing the lamp is difficult, removing the four screws along the top of the grill will help provide more clearance.
4. Remove the bulb assembly, (1) sidemarker or (2) park/turn by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it straight out.
5. Pull the old bulb out from the socket.
Install the new bulb(s) in reverse order.
I can see where the wires go in but I can't see the connector like I can for the headlight bulb. I can just squeeze my hand down there but wouldn't be able to move it around much. I'm thinking coming in through the wheel well.
Well I managed to change the bulb, but it wasn't the problem. The only light out is the front driver's side parking light, the the turn signal works. Any ideas where to look next? Thanks, John.
