Thinking of putting a levelling kit on my truck. The truck is a 2003 F250SD short box, super cab with no plow package or camper package. Truck sits a little high in the back and I would like to make it look level. I know some of you have done this mod. I would like to know whose kit is best, is it easy or difficult, what is the price range I should look for. If you have any part numbers or specs, that would help a bunch. I plan on lifting the truck a little 3" when the tires wear out.
Also, thanks abendx for the info on the lights, checked it out and will order next week. Appreciate your info.
There are a variety of methods for leveling your SD. Add-a-leafs are not a good idea unless you plan on installing a replacement bumper which will require additional spring rate to maintain ride height. Hanger kits are generally the best route as they do not effect ride quality. The down side is that they tend to be a bit pricy. Another option is a mini spring pack which will provide about 2" of lift and also not effect spring rate or require longer shocks. Hope this helps.
