frozen fuel lines
I have a 1994 Explorer sitting out in -15Celcius weather and it won't start , put 3 bottles of gasline antifreeze in ,plugged in the block heater last night and still won't go. How long does this stuff take to work its way through

Are you sure it is your fuel lines freezing? I have never had that problem on my 92 or my 97 explorers. I would diagnose it as being a no start and start with checking for spark, then see if you are getting fuel. When you turn your key on does your fuel pump start up?

Well it tried to start and I can smell gas so I assumed there was ice in the injectors.Put 3 bottles of deicer in the tank and plugged in the block heater and left it for the night.
This morning I went out hooked up the booster cables to my trusty old Jimmy and it started right away after holding the throttle plate wide open

to the gas in the Great White North? Probably not. I dropped a few tanks that had well over 200km on them and I've never found a drop of water. I also carefully remove filters and purge the contents into a glass to see what they have collected over time. Never any water. So when people tell that story in the states, I don't believe them. Our gasahol keeps the tanks pretty clean. With pure gas that could still be a problem.
