So after the disaster that was my power steering and the resulting radiator replacement I now have a shutter. It happens at 45 or more mph apon light acceleration. About a seconds worth. Not sure of the location of the shutter bit if I had to pick I'd say from the front.
I first thought tranny but it's full. Over the full line to be exact...
With everything that's happening lately it's hard to keep loving this truck.
my 07 crew cab has a shutter after installing the edge but only happens once in a while i think its the converter trying to figure out too lock or unlock (feels like the bumps on the side of the highway to wake you up) and only for 1-2 sec
Do a full trans fluid change/replacement with Mercon V if you have torque converter shudder.
Alternatively, I fixed a shudder in my '02 E150 with a tube of Shudder Fixx from NAPA. It's a small tube of friction modifier. Try this first....it worked for me.
and about the shutter and shudder i totally didnt notice haha
Then definitely try the shudder fixx...worked like magic for me, really...and my fluid was quite new when I had the shudder as well. Let me know if it works for ya...one little 2 ounce tube made all the difference for me.
I don't know if it the same problem but my truck used to studder a little at 45mph when it was trying to shift into overdrive. It turned out to be the overdrive belt slipping. It snapped about 4 or 5 months later.
